European Technology Forum in Katowice

On 26-27 September 2018, the Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technology will host the European Technology Forum at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. This high-level event under the patronage of the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki includes four thematic conferences dedicated to innovative medicine, industry 4.0, circular economy, and the future of transportation. The European Technology Forum serves as a consulting platform.

In particular, it is supposed to provide the participants with a valuable insight into the Polish and European Union perspective on research and policy measures in the aforementioned areas. Special attention will be given to 'Horizon Europe' and other innovation-, research- and competitiveness-related programmes at the national and EU level. Moreover, the European Technology Forum will offer a space for presentation of the Responsible Development Strategy of Poland.

Keynote Speakers include i.a. Jerzy Buzek, Chair of the Industry, Research and Energy Committee of the European Parliament, Gabriel Crean, Chief Executive Officer at Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology as well as President of the European Materials Research Society, Piotr Dardziński, Undersecretary of State at Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Jadwiga Emilewicz, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology. The event will gather about 1000 participants.

In addition to keynote addresses by distinguished guests and four thematic conferences to be held in parallel, integral parts of the 2018 European Technology Forum will be: panel discussion on European Research Networks Collaboration, and two sessions on Polish Industrial Science, Financing Poland's Cash-starved Innovators and Smart and Sustainable Cities. The participants keen on new industry may extend their visit to Katowice while attending the NP Expo hosted by PTWP Group.
